jpnn.com, JAKARTA - Setelah menghadirkan smartphone terbaru beberapa waktu lalu, jajaran Samsung seri Galaxy A langsung mendapatkan sambutan yang baik. Pasalnya, baru sebulan peluncurannya raksasa elektronik itu bisa mengirim 2 juta unit perangkat ke India.

Vice Presiden Samsung India, Ranjivjit Singh mengungkapkan, bahwa Samsung berhasil mengirimkan 2 juta unit dari gabungan seri Galaxy A seperti Galaxy A10, A30, dan A50 yang baru di pasarkan pada 1 Maret 2019.

Dengan angka tersebut, Samsung telah meraup keuntungan penjualan sekitar 500 juta US dolar Amerika Serikat. Pendapatan ini diklaim sebagai rekor untuk merek apapun di industri smartphone.

Apalagi dengan seri Galaxy A20 dan Galaxy A70 yang segera memasuki pasar, maka diperkirakan jajaran seri Galaxy- A bisa mencapai 4 miliar US dolar dalam penjualan pada akhir tahun.

"Ketika sisa portofolio dalam seri Galaxy A tersedia, kami yakin tidak hanya mencapai tapi melampaui target kami," tegas Ranjivjit Singh seperti dilansir GSM Arena Kamis (18/4).

Samsung telah berada di bawah tekanan dari pesaing di pasar Cina dan India. Perusahaan ini telah kehilangan taringnya di India dari Xiaomi pada tahun lalu. Namun, kini Samsung sangat yakin akan mengembalikam tahtanya setelah direbut Xiaomi di pasar India.

Mengingat seri Galaxy A dan Galaxy M mengawali debutnya dengan awal yang cukup baik, dan jika perusahaan mempertahankannya, maka kemungkinan Samsung bisa mencapai posisi teratas di pasar India. (mg9/jpnn)
